Ayana V. Jackson is an American fine art photographer whose work critically examines the representation of Black women across the African diaspora. Drawing on colonial archives, ethnographic photography, and European portraiture, she re-stages historical imagery to challenge racial hierarchies constructed through the camera. Her work has been exhibited internationally and spans projects from 2013 to 2023.
