Bobby Darin (1936–1973) was an American singer, songwriter, and actor known for his versatile style spanning pop, jazz, rock, and folk. He rose to fame in the late 1950s with hits like "Splish Splash" and "Mack the Knife," the latter earning him two Grammy Awards. He was also a mentor figure to younger Las Vegas entertainers like Wayne Newton.
