About

Giselle is a classic Romantic ballet originally choreographed by Jean Coralli and Jules Perrot, with music by Adolphe Adam, premiering in Paris in 1841. It tells the story of a young peasant girl who dies of a broken heart and returns as a spirit to protect her unfaithful lover. It remains one of the most performed ballets in the classical repertoire.
