J. Cole is an American rapper, singer, and record producer from Fayetteville, North Carolina. Known for his introspective lyricism and self-produced beats, he rose to fame with his 2011 debut album Cole World: The Sideline Story. He is also the founder of the independent label Dreamville Records.
