Marshall Crenshaw is an American singer-songwriter and guitarist known for his melodic, hook-driven pop rock rooted in the new wave era of the early 1980s. He broke through with his 1982 debut single "Someday, Someway," which reached #1 on the Billboard Hot 100. He also portrayed Buddy Holly in the 1987 film "La Bamba."
