Gene Autry (1907–1998) was an American singer, actor, and entertainer known as "The Singing Cowboy." He starred in dozens of Western films and radio and TV shows from the 1930s through the 1950s, becoming one of Hollywood's biggest stars of that era. He is best known for recording "Back in the Saddle Again," his signature song.
