Ruth Bader Ginsburg (1933–2020) was an Associate Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court, serving from 1993 until her death. A pioneering advocate for gender equality, she co-founded the ACLU's Women's Rights Project before joining the bench. She became a cultural icon known by her initials "RBG."
