From Mess to Masterpiece: Understanding Process and Product Art in the Preschool Classroom

Part of the Early Childhood Workforce Development program, this training explores how early relationships shape a child’s brain and stress response. This session explores the distinction between process-focused and product-focused art in early childhood education. Participants will learn how to support creativity, expression, and developmental growth by emphasizing the value of the artistic journey as well as the outcome.

The Early Childhood Workforce Training is offered to early childhood providers for the purpose of meeting the annual Nevada State Early Childhood training requirements. Employees must complete a minimum of 24 hours of training annually to continue employment in a licensed childcare center or home care.

This training is just one of a variety of research-based training topics that are presented by the Workforce Development team. All training courses are approved by the Nevada Registry.
