Master Gardener Continuing Education Series

Teachers want to create a creative and informative presentation to fully engage their students' attention, but copyright can bring up some issues when looking to reuse material created by other people. This workshop will go over the basics of copyright law - what is it, anyway? - as well what instructors should consider when putting together their instructional material. Workshop participants will also learn about how they can make fair use decisions when reusing content and how to look for material that's already been given the OK for reuse.

Teresa Schultz is the Scholarly Communications & Social Sciences Librarian at the University of Nevada, Reno Libraries. She provides copyright education to the university community and the broader public.
