Bodies, the Exhibition
Bodies: The Exhibition at Luxor Hotel and Casino, Las Vegas
Bodies... The Exhibition, located at the Luxor Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, has been experienced by more than 15 million people worldwide. The exhibition showcases 13 whole-body specimens and more than 260 organs and partial body specimens, all meticulously dissected and preserved through an innovative polymer process. Visitors receive an up-close look inside the skeletal, muscular, respiratory, nervous, digestive, reproductive/urinary, and fetal systems. Authentic human specimens illustrate health concerns such as cirrhosis of the liver, arthritis, the effects of smoking, and over-eating — including a side-by-side comparison of a healthy lung and a black lung ravaged by smoking. A separate, optional fetal development room displays preserved fetuses in various stages of development, with a warning sign posted before entry so visitors may choose to bypass it. The exhibition is self-guided, allowing visitors to explore at their own pace. The recommended length of visit is 1.5–2 hours. Combo tickets combining BODIES with TITANIC: The Artifact Exhibition are available at the box office only. Guests under 18 must be accompanied by an adult; children 3 and under enter free. Food and beverages are not permitted inside the galleries. The exhibition is held entirely indoors and is wheelchair accessible. For group or school reservations of 10 or more, contact the venue directly.
