Balloon Museum | Let's Fly - Art Has No Limits - Dallas
South Side Studios, Dallas
Balloon Museum presents Let's Fly – Art Has No Limits at South Side Studios (2901 Botham Jean Blvd, Dallas, TX 75215), the third stop of its Texas tour. Created by Italy-based Lux Entertainment and founded in Rome in 2021, Balloon Museum is a pioneering art space dedicated to inflatable and air-based contemporary installations merging creativity, technology, and sensory exploration — a global phenomenon that has welcomed more than 7 million visitors worldwide. The Dallas exhibition spans over 65,000 square feet and features large-scale works from 18 renowned international artists. The exhibition explores air not only as a physical element, but as a metaphor for movement, lightness, and boundless travel. Featured installations include: "Squeezed In" by Lucas Zanotto (oversized characters inhabiting the space); "Her Joy" by Alex Schweder (a mirrored sphere that breathes and reflects light); "Crazy Love for Polygons" by Cyril Lancelin; "Balloon Tree" by Myeongbeom Kim; "Quadriga" by Max Streicher (suspended metaphysical horses); "Lava Lamp" by Michael Shaw (a 44-meter psychedelic installation); "Mariposa" by Christopher Schardt (a 26-foot LED butterfly activated by swinging on a bench below it, first shown at Burning Man 2023); "ADA" by Karina Smigla-Bobinski (a kinetic charcoal-drawing sphere); "BB" by Tadao Cern (hundreds of balloons exploring symmetry); "ZEROS" by SpY (a kinetic sculpture of rotating rings); "AIRSCAPE" by Sila Sveta (a VR journey through fantastical worlds); "Hyperlight" and "Invisible Ballet" by Hyperstudio; "The GINJOS" by Rub Kandy; "Swing" by MOTOREFISICO; and "AI Data Portal" by Ouchhh. Visitors engage through touch, sight, and sound. A café and merchandise area are on site. Visit duration is approximately 90 minutes.
