Recruiting people who are 60 and over to participate in a study about chatbots
Austin
Researchers at the University of Texas at Austin are recruiting adults aged 60 and older to participate in a study on how people understand and use chatbot systems such as ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot. The goal is to develop instructional and tutorial materials to support learning and use of these tools.
Who can participate: You must be 60 or older, have no cognitive disabilities, be able to use a computer independently, and currently live in the U.S.
Study details: The interview takes place over Zoom and lasts no longer than 75 minutes. During the session, you will discuss your perceptions and use of chatbots, complete one or two tasks using a chatbot of your choice, and share your experience. You may bring your own tasks or choose from a prepared list. A video tutorial on ChatGPT is available if needed. Participants receive a $30 Amazon gift card upon completion.
