Amarillo VA2K Walk & Roll

The Thomas E. Creek VA Medical Center is hosting the 16th Annual National VA2K Walk and Roll on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the front lawn at 6010 Amarillo Blvd W, Amarillo, TX 79106. This free, community-wide event opens with a ceremony at 11 a.m., followed by a 1.24-mile walk, and concludes with family fun, food, activities, vendors, and community resources. The event is presented by the AVAHCS Housing First Program and Employee Whole Health Program to encourage active lifestyles and support homeless Veterans. While donations are not required to participate, organizers encourage attendees to bring items such as new clothing, toiletries, non-perishable packaged or canned foods, sheets, blankets, towels, washcloths, laundry bags, detergent, or bottled water. All contributions are collected and distributed to local homeless Veterans.
