The Hubbard Stage is the 774-seat main stage of Alley Theatre, a nationally acclaimed resident theatre company founded in 1947 and located in Houston's Theater District. Opened in its current building in 1968 and renovated in 2013–2015, it hosts a full season of classics, world premieres, and new works produced by a full-time Resident Acting Company. The Alley has received the Tony Award for Outstanding Regional Theatre and a Pulitzer Prize for one of its premieres.
