Cirque du Soleil : "O"
'O' Theatre at Bellagio Las Vegas, Las Vegas
Cirque du Soleil's "O" is a permanent Las Vegas production at the custom-built 'O' Theatre inside Bellagio Hotel & Casino, where it has performed since opening night on October 15, 1998. Inspired by the concept of infinity and the elegance of water, the show pays tribute to the beauty of theater — from simple street performances to lavish operas. An international cast of 75 artists, including world-class acrobats, synchronized swimmers, divers, and aerialists, perform in, on, and above a 1.5-million-gallon pool that is 25 feet deep and filled with 17 feet of water. Behind the scenes, 130 technicians and 14 scuba divers work during every performance to bring the production to life. Eight Olympians — seven artistic swimmers and one diver — are among the performers. Acts take place on floating rafts, suspended steel ships, and 60-foot platforms. The show runs approximately 90 minutes with no intermission. Performances are typically held at 6:30 PM and 9:00 PM on Wednesdays through Sundays. Children under 5 are not admitted; guests under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. The first few rows are a designated splash zone. Cellphones and personal pocket-sized cameras are permitted, but flash photography and filming are strictly prohibited. Tickets may also be purchased by phone at 888-488-7111 or in person at select Las Vegas casino box offices.
